Advisory API and SBOM API Are Now in Open Beta

Generic vulnerability scanners have no concept of conda channels or platform-specific builds, so they miss real exposure and flag packages that were never affected.

Two new APIs close the gap. The Advisory API is a syncable feed of Anaconda-curated advisories for conda packages in main, plus lookup by advisory ID. The SBOM API returns the software bill of materials (SBOM) Anaconda has on file for packages in main or main-x. Both are open to organizations with a Business subscription.

Six Months of Reddit Developer Sentiment on AI Coding

Kilo’s Job Rietbergen went through 6,876 Reddit posts and comments across 266 subreddits, January through June 2026, looking for the AI coding tool developers had settled on. What came back instead was routing: developers assigning different models to different parts of the job.

Switching, comparing, and combining models drew more discussion than pricing or reliability. Reliability was the most negative theme, with 434 items carrying explicitly negative language, 31.8% of that theme and the only one where negative sentiment crossed 30%.
