Introducing Anaconda’s Maker Blog Series!

Before we wrap up the first month of 2022, we’d like to announce an exciting blog series coming to Anaconda.com! Beginning in February, we will feature blog posts authored by members of our cherished Maker community on a monthly basis.

Community is at the heart of everything we do at Anaconda; our network of 25+ million current users and limitless future users inspire us to innovate in a way that both supports and leverages the power of open source. As such, it’s only right that we amplify the voices of some of the most active, contributive members of that network in the spirit of continued learning and collaboration.

What is a Maker?

A Maker is, yes, a person who makes. The term “Maker” is affiliated with the do-it-yourself (DIY) movement and applies to a wide range of endeavors, from arts and crafts to home renovations to science. In the context of technology and open-source software, and specifically in the context of Anaconda, a Maker creates or builds upon code-based projects.

Sounds Like I’m a Maker! Can I Submit a Post?

You sure can! If you identify with what you’ve read and would like to be considered for our blog series, please submit an abstract of your potential post here. You can access Anaconda’s Editorial Standards here, and do not hesitate to reach out to us directly if you have any questions surrounding content guidelines. We are now accepting submissions on a rolling basis. We’d love to hear from you—and we think those 25+ million users would, too.
