Harness the Power of Data Science at AnacondaCON 2018!

Last spring, Anaconda celebrated the inaugural AnacondaCON, where over 400 people descended upon Austin to connect with peers and thought leaders within the Python data science community. This year’s event promises to be even bigger and better!

Taking place in Austin on April 8-11, AnacondaCON 2018 is shaping up to be one of the hottest data science conferences of the year. The conference once again will focus on Python data science and its real-world applications, with a program featuring tutorials, keynotes, general sessions, and three main tracks: Real World Data Science, Anaconda Enterprise, and Open Source Technology.

At AnacondaCON 2018, you’ll be able to network with the data science community’s most innovative and passionate thought leaders, and hear your peers share compelling projects and best practices in data science, machine learning, and AI.

We’ll open the conference with a keynote address from Anaconda CEO Scott Collison and Co-Founder & CTO Peter Wang. Then we’ll dive into over 45 talks delivered by a range of data scientists, analysts, developers, IT professionals, and business leaders from leading organizations including State Farm, Yelp, DataCamp, NVIDIA, Databricks, General Motors, and the City of Boston.

Want to hear the latest in Open Source Technology? Catch Michael Bernico, Lead Data Scientist at State Farm, demonstrate how to approach deep learning with very little data; and Katrina Riehl, Director of Data Science at HomeAway.com, discuss how open source technologies are necessary for the success of businesses hoping to use data science and machine learning to power innovation.

Over in the Real World Data Science track, you can hear Andrew Therriault, Chief Data Officer for the City of Boston, introduce a framework for designing machine learning models that get better over time; and Justin Brandenburg, Data Scientist at MapR Data Technologies, share how he leveraged Python and Pyspark to wrangle data and train a recurrent neural network to predict whether the next event in a real time stream indicated that maintenance was required.

Other talks will cover getting started with Anaconda Distribution, accelerating deep learning with GPUs, machine learning with Dask, using TensorFlow effectively on the Anaconda Enterprise platform, best practices for enterprise package governance, deploying Python and R to Spark and Hadoop, and so much more.

We’re also excited to offer a full day of tutorials on Sunday, April 8! In our morning sessions, our experts will give you hands-on machine learning experience using scikit-learn and other data science tools within Anaconda, and show you the fundamentals of Python packaging in the conda ecosystem. In our afternoon sessions, we’ll demonstrate how to install and configure the Anaconda Enterprise data science platform, and share how to leverage Anaconda to accelerate deep learning with GPUs using Keras and TensorFlow.

(Please note that tutorial registration is separate from conference registration. Seating is limited, so register now while spaces are still available!)

Last year’s AnacondaCON was both informative and a ton of fun, and we can’t wait to connect with our beloved data science community once again. We’d love for you to join us! Through February 28, you and your team can take advantage of our early bird offer of two tickets for the price of one. Register today for your early bird discount and we’ll see you soon!
