Flows publish events to trigger other flows decorated with @project_trigger. Events resolve to prj.{project}.{branch}.{name}, the same namespace the trigger decorator consumes, so an event published on a branch only triggers flows deployed on that branch.

Choosing a publish method

Use publish_event in normal flows, where a failed publish should fail the run. Use safe_publish_event when the event is best-effort, such as a notification that should not block the rest of the pipeline. Use ProjectEvent directly in standalone scripts and CI jobs, outside a flow context.
