# Anaconda Toolbox

Anaconda Toolbox is a built-in extension for Anaconda Notebooks that transforms your development workflow. Generate, save, and share code effortlessly across Notebooks and Excel while getting intelligent help from Anaconda Assistant. Available in both cloud and local environments, Toolbox bridges the gap between individual coding and team collaboration.
## Key features

Start with pre-configured environments loaded with popular data science packages.

## Getting started
Launch [Anaconda Notebooks](https://nb.anaconda.com) and select the left-side **Anaconda Toolbox** icon.
Start a [new project](/tools/anaconda-notebooks/anaconda-toolbox/using-projects#creating-a-project) for your work or join an existing team project.
Select a [runtime](/tools/anaconda-notebooks/notebook-runtimes) or [quick start environment](/tools/anaconda-notebooks/anaconda-toolbox/toolbox-environments#installing-quick-start-environments) that matches your project needs.
Quick start environments are only available in the [local version of Toolbox](/tools/anaconda-notebooks/anaconda-toolbox/local-toolbox).
Begin writing code with the [AI Assistant](/tools/anaconda-notebooks/anaconda-toolbox/anaconda-assistant#accessing-the-anaconda-assistant) and save useful [code snippets](/tools/anaconda-notebooks/anaconda-toolbox/code-snippets#creating-code-snippets) for future use.
