# Packages

The Packages view lists the secure channels provisioned for your [perimeter](/docs/platform/concepts/what-is-a-perimeter) and lets you inspect their contents. Use it to see which packages a channel contains and which CVEs are associated with them.

## Viewing channels

Select **Resources** > **Packages** in the left-hand navigation. The list shows the secure channels provisioned for the current perimeter, including each channel's source, package count, applied policy (if any), and the number of files that policy has removed.

Only secure channels appear in this list; registered external channels are not included.

## Viewing a channel's packages

Select a channel from the list to view its details and browse its contents. The view shows the channel's source, when it was added, and the number of packages and CVEs it contains. If a policy is applied to the channel, the view also shows the policy's name and when it last synced the channel's packages.

The channel's contents are organized into two tabs:

* **Packages**: Every package in the channel, with a description, family, file count, and CVE count for each
* **CVEs**: The CVEs associated with the channel's packages

To find a specific package in a channel, enter the package's name in the search box at the top of the table. The list and the package count on the **Packages** tab update as you type.

## Viewing package details

Select a package to open its details in a panel beside the list. The panel shows the package's name, channel, license, latest version, last published date, and total downloads.

The panel organizes the rest of the package's details into four tabs:

    Every file published for the package, with the version, platform, size, CVE count, and upload date for each.
  </DefinitionDescription>

  <DefinitionTerm>
    Dependencies

  <DefinitionDescription>
    The packages the package depends on, with the version, family, file count, and CVE count for each.
  </DefinitionDescription>

  <DefinitionTerm>
    Dependents
  </DefinitionTerm>

  <DefinitionDescription>
    The packages that depend on the package, with the same details as the Dependencies tab.
  </DefinitionDescription>

  <DefinitionTerm>
    CVEs
  </DefinitionTerm>

  <DefinitionDescription>
    The CVEs affecting the package, with each CVE's score, identifier, and the number of affected package files.
  </DefinitionDescription>
