## Usage

```bash theme={null}
anaconda channel remove-package <PACKAGE> --channel <CHANNEL> [OPTIONS]
```

## Description

Removes a single package file from a channel. This command targets a channel on either anaconda.com or anaconda.org, depending on the value you provide for `--channel`:

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="anaconda.org">
    The command targets anaconda.org when `--channel` is a bare name (no `/`) that corresponds to a username or organization name on anaconda.org.

    The `<PACKAGE>` argument is the package spec in `package/version/filename` format.

    ```bash theme={null}
    anaconda channel remove-package <PACKAGE>/<VERSION>/<FILENAME> --channel <OWNER>
    ```

    <Comments>
      Replace \<PACKAGE>/\<VERSION>/\<FILENAME> with the package spec<br />
      Replace \<OWNER> with the anaconda.org user or organization name.
    </Comments>
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="anaconda.com">
    The command targets an anaconda.com channel when the supplied value for `--channel` includes a `/` (for example, `namespace/channel`), or when it is a bare name that does not match an anaconda.org owner.

    The `<PACKAGE>` argument is the filename of a single file within the package.

    <Note>
      A package can contain many files. The `<PACKAGE>` argument removes one file, not the entire package. To see the removable filenames, run `anaconda channel show <CHANNEL> --files`.
    </Note>

    ```bash theme={null}
    anaconda channel remove-package <FILENAME> --channel <NAMESPACE>/<CHANNEL>
    ```

    <Comments>
      Replace \<FILENAME> with the package filename to remove.<br />
      Replace \<NAMESPACE>/\<CHANNEL> with your namespace and channel name.
    </Comments>
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

<Note>
  This command accepts only one `--channel` value per invocation.
</Note>
