Anaconda Welcomes Lars Ewe as SVP of Engineering
Engineering SVP Joins Anaconda’s Executive Team to Accelerate Delivery of Anaconda Data Science and Machine Learning platforms
AUSTIN, TEXAS—December 12, 2017— Anaconda, Inc., provider of the most popular Python data science platform, today announced Lars Ewe as the company’s new senior vice president (SVP) of engineering. With more than 20 years of enterprise engineering experience, Ewe brings a strong foundation in big data, real-time analytics and security. He will lead the Anaconda Enterprise and Anaconda Distribution engineering teams.

Anaconda and Microsoft recently announced a partnership to deliver Anaconda for Microsoft, to be embedded in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Machine Learning. In September Anaconda launched Anaconda Enterprise 5, used by organizations to enable enterprise Anaconda users to collaborate, deploy, scale and govern data science and machine learning. Customers of Anaconda Enterprise include Citibank, City of Boston, BMW, Cisco and GE.

Lars Ewe joins Anaconda from Evariant, a healthcare big data platform, where he managed the company’s healthcare digital marketing analytics platform as the executive vice president of engineering. Prior to Evariant, Lars led Click Security’s innovative security analytics platform. He has also held senior management and executive roles at large software companies and startups, including AMD, BMW, Borland, National Instruments and Oracle Corp. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Munich, Germany.
